The LDoE is hiring across various levels and Directorates. The vacancies are categorized as follows:
1. Senior Management & Head Office (Permanent):
- Chief Directors: Curriculum Management, District Management.
- Directors: Early Childhood Development (ECD), LTSM, Infrastructure, HR, and District Directors (Waterberg & Sekhukhune South).
- Circuit Managers: Across various districts.
- Chief Education Specialists (CES): Governance, ECD, Maths, Science, Exam & Assessment, Inclusive Education.
- Deputy Directors & Assistant Directors: Finance, Supply Chain, HR, IT, Infrastructure (Civil/Mechanical), Town Planning, and Employee Wellness.
2. School-Based Promotions (Permanent):
- Principals: Hundreds of vacancies across all districts (Vhembe, Capricorn, Mopani, Sekhukhune, and Waterberg).
- Departmental Heads (HODs): Subject heads and phase heads across various primary and secondary schools.
3. EPWP Contracts (12 Months):
- Data Capturers: (Head Office).
- Casual Labourers: (Distributed across Head Office and all Districts).
Eligibility and Requirements
Applicants must meet specific criteria depending on the post level.
For Senior Management & Office Posts:
- Qualifications: NQF Level 6 or 7 (Degree/Diploma) relevant to the post (e.g., Education, Engineering, Finance, HR).
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of management experience (Middle to Senior Management level).
- SMS Pre-Entry: For Director and Chief Director posts, the Nyukela Certificate (SMS Pre-Entry) is mandatory.
- Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license (except for persons with disabilities).
For School-Based Posts (Principals & HODs):
- Qualifications: Minimum REQV 13 (Professional Teacher Education).
- Registration: Must be registered with SACE.
- Experience: Applicable teaching and management experience as per the Personnel Administration Measures (PAM).
For EPWP Posts:
- Data Capturer: Grade 12 Certificate (N6 is an added advantage) + Computer Literacy.
- Casual Labourer: Unemployed community members residing within the specific local municipality where the District is located.
Remuneration & Stipend
The salary packages vary significantly based on the post level:
- Senior Management (SMS):
- Level 14 (Chief Director): ~R1,494,900 per annum (All-inclusive).
- Level 13 (Director): ~R1,266,714 per annum (All-inclusive).
- Middle Management:
- Level 11/12 (Deputy Director/Circuit Manager): ~R896,000 – R1,106,000 per annum.
- Level 9/10 (Assistant Director/SES): ~R468,000 – R632,000 per annum.
- EPWP Contract Rates:
- Data Capturer: R350.00 per day.
- Casual Labourer: R130.00 per day.

How to Apply (Application Procedure)
The application method differs depending on the type of post. Please follow the instructions strictly.
Method 1: For Head Office & Support Posts (Circular 23)
- Online Application: Applications should be submitted via the Limpopo E-Recruitment Portal at https://erecruitment.limpopo.gov.za.
- Manual Application: Use the New Z83 Form. Submit to:
- Post: The Head of Department, Limpopo Department of Education, Private Bag X 9489, Polokwane, 0700.
- Hand Delivery: 113 Biccard Street, Polokwane (Records Management Directorate, Office No. H03).
Method 2: For School Posts (Principals & HODs)
- Complete a separate LPDE 1 Form for each post.
- Attach a New Z83 Form and detailed CV.
- Submit to: The specific District Office where the school is located (Addresses provided in the vacancy list, e.g., Vhembe, Capricorn, etc.). Do not send school applications to Head Office.
Method 3: For EPWP Posts
- Submit a New Z83 Form, CV, and Certified ID.
- Submit to Head Office or the specific District Office indicated in the advert.
Important Documentation Note:
Applicants are not required to submit certified copies of qualifications/ID with the application (unless specified otherwise for specific EPWP/School posts). Certified copies will be required on the day of the interview.
