UNIVERSITY OF FORT HARE (UFH) CAREER (VACANT) POSITIONS, ROLES, REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

1. Lecturer : Business Management : Ref No-ML67

The University of Fort Hare seeks to appoint suitable and experienced candidates for the vacant post in the Department of Business Management, Faculty of Management and Commerce.
Minimum Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Business Management or related field
  • Registration towards a doctoral degree in Business Management or related field
  • At least three years of experience teaching either entrepreneurship, financial, marketing, strategic and/or operations management in higher education
  • A track record of DHET-accredited research publications commensurate with the academic rank of Lecturer (i.e., at least three publications)

Advantage Points:

  • Evidence of postgraduate supervision experience, at least at the Honours level
  • Evidence of appropriate community engagement
  • A qualification in higher education, teaching and learning or progress towards such a qualification

Responsibilities include:

  • Teaching and assessment of undergraduate and postgraduate students
  • Participate in curriculum design and implementation of newly accredited programmes
  • Attract funding and conduct research in the field of business management
  • Supervise postgraduate research
  • Engage in community outreach and other collaborative projects
  • Participate in public engagement activities within the department
  • Academic administration and citizenship
