Application for the University of the Free State, UFS Tutor Recruitment for Tutorial Programme for the 2023 session is now open for all outstanding UFS Students who wish to work while schooling.
All postgraduate students are invited to apply through the Head of Department or designated representative, to be hired as a Tutor for the academic year 2024. The University is a public university located in South Africa. All returning / old tutors are required to submit new 2023 Student Employment Forms and attach all the requirements.

Application Requirements & Eligibility
To apply , you need the following inherent requirements:
- Be a senior student in the faculty of Economics and Management Sciences (EMA) or in the BA Governance Programme in 2023.
- Be enrolled as a UFS student and be able to provide proof of registration in 2023.
- Be proficient in English.
- Have passed one of the following modules: EHPA 1514/ EFPA 2515/ EHHR 1514/ EHBM 1514 with a final mark of 65% and above.
- Acceptable understanding and knowledge of the module to be tutored and related degree modules.

- Excellent writing skills in English
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- Ability to work respectfully with individuals of all cultures and backgrounds, perspectives, and abilities
- Ability to motivate students to learn and achieve their potential.
- Passionate about the module subject matter to be tutored
- Caring/emphatic, helpful, and supportive person.
- Experience with conducting online and face to face classes will serve as an advantage
- Previous Higher Certificate students a re encouraged to apply
Your duties/responsibilities are as follows:
- Tutoring online and face to face sessions
- Marking assessments
- Attending tutorial training
- Attending regular team meetings
Application Procedure
