1. Clinical Mentor (x3)

Requirements & Eligibility

Minimum Education & Training

• BCurr, BNurs, Nursing Diploma, MBChB or equivalent qualification.
• Registration with relevant professional body:
  • South African Nursing Council (SANC) or
  • Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA).
• Valid Code 10 SA Driver’s Licence.

Minimum Work Experience

• Proven experience in sexual and reproductive health (SRH) service provision.
• Experience in healthcare provider training, mentoring, and support visits.
• Familiarity with Department of Health (DOH) policies and clinical guidelines.

Desirable / Added Advantage

• Prior experience working in a research or donor-funded project environment.
• Experience facilitating stakeholder and community engagements.
• Strong technical knowledge of SRH and contraceptive services, especially DMPA-SC.
• Sound understanding of provincial, district, and clinic management structures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel, with strong communication and reporting skills.
• Knowledge of health systems, M&E data, and clinic-level quality improvement.
• Ability to communicate in multiple South African languages.

Possible Salary

• The salary range is not disclosed in the advert.
• However, Clinical Mentor roles at Wits RHI and similar organisations typically range between
  R420,000 – R680,000 per annum (CTC) depending on qualification and experience.
• Final remuneration will be aligned with Wits Health Consortium’s internal salary scales.
