Requirements & Eligibility

Minimum Educational Qualifications

  • BCom (Hons) in Finance, Financial Management Sciences or related field — (Essential)
  • Management Development Programme (MDP) — (Essential)
  • MBA or equivalent post-graduate qualification — (Recommended/Desirable)

Experience & Professional Membership

  • Minimum 10 years’ relevant financial or treasury experience at operational level.
  • Proven proficiency managing foreign exchange (FX), interest rate and liquidity risk exposures.
  • Demonstrated ability to cultivate and maintain banking relationships, negotiate facilities and develop strategic funding plans.
  • Experienced in corporate finance compliance, loan covenant monitoring and SARB reporting.
  • Deep understanding of financial instruments, hedging transactions, and portfolio investment management.
  • Membership of a recognised professional finance or treasury body — (recommended).

Other Essential Requirements

  • Psychometric Assessment (mandatory).
  • Certificate of Fitness (mandatory — to be produced prior to employment).

Possible Salary
  • Industry benchmarks for Treasury Managers in large corporates (South Africa, 2025):
    • R820 000 – R1.68 million per annum (Total Cost to Company),
