KN Inzuzo Trust Bursary Application – 2024

This application for the KN Inzuzo Trust Bursary for the year 2024 is now open to all South African students in South Africa.


The Kuehne + Nagel Inzuzo Trust (the Trust) invests in the education and entrepreneurial development of young South Africans. The Trust is firmly committed to supporting the sustainable growth of South Africa’s economy by facilitating the development of its young professionals and entrepreneurs.

All information requested by the Kuehne + Nagel Inzuzo Trust will be kept confidential. The trust will not disseminate any personal information unless specifically authorised. Submission of this application form to the Kuehne + Nagel Inzuzo Trust does not guarantee that you (the applicant) will be awarded the bursary. Awards are made at the sole discretion of the trust. Bursaries are paid directly to institutions.

Applicants will not be required to pay any administration fees when applying for a bursary.

KN INZUZO TRUST BURSARY APPLICATION ELIGIBILITY

  • Black South African women who are in financial need and enrolled in their 2nd year, 3rd year, or postgraduate studies at an accredited South African university. Preferred fields of study:
    • Bachelor of Commerce in Logistics
    • Diploma in Logistics Management
    • Bachelor of Commerce in Transport Economics
    • Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting
    • Bachelor of Commerce in Financial Management
    • Bachelor of Commerce in Information Systems
  • A track record of academic excellence is evidenced by a minimum 60% average in the students’ most recent year of study.
  • Strong leadership capability is demonstrated through active school, university, or community engagement.
  • Demonstrable financial need.
  • Kindly note that students seeking funding for their first year of study will not be considered.

KN INZUZO TRUST BURSARY APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

  • Step 1: Candidates submit application documents:
    • Completed application form and requisite supporting documents (see Application Checklist below)
    • Academic results (Grade 12, and all university results)
    • Confirmation of financial need
  • Step 2: Shortlisted applicants will be invited to a face-to-face interview in March or April 2021
  • Step 3: Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a final round interview or case study presentation April 2021
  • Step 4: Trust announces bursary awards April and May 2024

Application Checklist

You will need to make sure that all requirements are carefully met and the correct information is provided so that your application can be processed.

  • A certified copy of your ID
  • A certified copy of your Matric Certificate and all University Results since your first year of study
  • Certified copies of awards received in High School or University for your academic, sporting, leadership or entrepreneurial achievements
  • Financial statements or quotes, i.e. university, books, accommodation, etc.
  • Recent passport-size photograph
  • A stamped and signed reference letter from an Educator (high school teacher or university lecturer) enclosed with application
  • Proof of admission or provisional acceptance letter from your selected University
  • Parent or legal guardian’s signature (page 10)
  • Applicant’s signature (page 10)
  • The application must be completed in English
  • Proof of the parent or guardian’s income and proof of residence. Include certified copies (not originals) of pay stubs or pension advice

Note: if your parent or guardian does not get a pay slip, please obtain a sworn statement (affidavit) from the police station stating their monthly salary

Please ensure that you submit the application form in good time in order to meet the application deadline. Application forms received after February 28, 2024, will not be considered.
Please retain a copy of your completed application form and other relevant documents for your own records. Only applications received in English will be accepted.
