To access the UP student portal login, follow these steps:- Open your internet browser e.g. Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox, etc.
- In the address bar, type in https://www.up.ac.za for the University of Pretoria’s home page
- Click on the link titled “My UP Login” which will take you to the UP Login page.
- If you are a new user on the UP Portal, click on the “New User” button and provide your Username (beginning with ‘u’ – for example u1234567).
- You will then be required to enter your ID number and date of birth in order to verify your identity before proceeding further with setting up your account.
- Once verified, you will be asked to create a password for your account and answer a few security questions as an extra layer of protection for your account details.
- After this step is complete, you will be able to access all of the features available in the UP Portal such as checking application status, registering for courses and more.
