The Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) seeks to improve learning processes for its students. Therefore, it is pleased to announce the adoption of a Learning Management System (LMS), that would make it easy for students to attend classes online, get lecture notes, and submit assignments anywhere and anytime.

This E-learning platform is to help lecturers at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) upload their courses and course materials (ie. course outlines, lecture notes/PowerPoint presentations, recommended reading books/journals, videos, and forums) on the E-learning platform to enable students to access them for continuing academic work. A series of short video tutorials will be made available in the coming days to further assist our lecturers in uploading their courses.

STEPS ON HOW TO ACCESS AND ENROL FOR THE CPUT BLACKBOARD PORTAL SYSTEM. 

The following is a guide on how to enrol in the CPUT Blackboard System.

Here are the steps you need to follow for First Time Users: 

1. Go to myclassroom.cput.ac.za in your web browser 
2. Enter your CPUT username and password 
3. Click on ‘Sign in‘ to access your course content 
4. You will now be able to view all available courses, lectures, assignments, and other materials 
5. To register for a course, click on the ‘Register‘ button next to the course name 
6. Once registered, you can use Student Online Services (SOS) to check your subjects, fees balance, exam results etc

Accessing the CPUT Blackboard for returning users:

1. Open your internet browser e.g. Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox, etc.
2. Go to CPUT Blackboard Portal
3. Enter your CPUT username and password.
4. Click on the “Sign in” button to access the platform.
5. Once logged in, scroll down the page to Course Categories. Select your School
6. Select your course or check for your course in your department.
7. You will then see the content for your course.

Troubleshooting tips for login issues:

1. Make sure you are using the correct login credentials.
2. Clear your web browser cache and cookies.
3. Try accessing CPUT Blackboard from a different web browser or device.
