UNIVERSITY OF NAIROBI, UON, 69TH GRADUATION LIST FOR 2023
The University of Nairobi wishes to inform all students who qualified for the award of various degrees and diplomas at the end of the last academic year (2022-2023) and members of the public that the 69th Graduation Ceremony will be held PHYSICALLY on Friday, September 22, 2023, commencing at 8 a.m. at the University Main Campus.
REQUIREMENTS FOR GRADUATION
Only those who have satisfied all the academic requirements, completed paying all the fees due to the university, and been cleared of any disciplinary cases, will be allowed to graduate.
CONFIRMATION OF NAMES
All graduands are advised to confirm the ORDER and SPELLING of their names with their respective Deans of Faculties. The use of initials will NOT be allowed
CLEARANCE
Only those who have completed paying the fees due to the university will be allowed to graduate. All graduands are advised to confirm the order of their names with their respective Deans.
LIST OF GRADUANDS
The list will be posted as soon as it is approved. Continuously confirm with your Department if you have met the Graduation Requirements.
Any potential graduate whose name is not on the list is expected to visit his or her School immediately.
GRADUATION/CONVOCATION FEE
Each graduand will be required to obtain a clearance certificate from the relevant Faculty Registrar upon clearance with the respective Department, Library, Halls of Residence, Games Department, finance, and pay a compulsory graduation or convocation fee of Kshs. 1,000.

PUNCTUALITY

Why does the University not provide the gowns for graduation
The gowns are hired at about 5000ksh. You can negotiate on the cost of purchase (probably higher)

Very disappointed. I have been in the university clearing from yesterday only to be told I can’t t graduate because I cleared the fee after Saturday while the circular circulated online allowed clearance up to 17th Dec. This information has hit me so hard since I only got to know it when I had. cleared with all the departments, and paid both the vocation fee and gown charges. The University should have considered that the updates on fee balances for those from PSRI under economics department was only done in the students portal last week.
