The Manicaland State University, MSUAS 2024/2025 admission requirements for all the courses at the undergraduate, diploma, and postgraduate levels are updated every year. Therefore, this article contains the full list of all the undergraduate and Postgraduate courses along with their general requirements.

For admission into programmes of study at the Manicaland state university, MSUAS, for any first degree or second degree, an applicant must have the following requirements for successful admission:

MANICALAND STATE UNIVERSITY (MSUAS) DEGREE PROGRAMMES ADMISSION REQUIREMENT

FACULTY OF ENGINEERING (Hons Degree)

1. Chemical and Processing Engineering Honours Degree (5 years)
   • Passes at ‘A’ level in Chemistry and Mathematics or Physics, and any other Science subject.
   • Diploma holders in Chemistry and/or related fields will be considered.
2. Mining and Mineral Processing Engineering Honours Degree (5 years)
   • Passes at ‘A’ level in Physics and Mathematics and any other Science subject.
   • Diploma holders in mining engineering, metallurgy, geology, and mining surveying will be considered.
3. BEng Metallurgy Engineering Honours Degree (5 years)
   • Passes at ‘A’ level in Chemistry and Mathematics and any other Science subject.
   • Diploma in Mining Engineering, Geology, Metallurgical Assaying, and Mine Surveying.

FACULTY OF APPLIED SCIENCES AND TECHNOLOGY (BSc HONS DEGREE)

1. BSc Information Systems Honours Degree (4 years)
   • Passes at ‘A’ level in at least two of the following subjects: Management of Business, Economics, and Mathematics/equivalent.
   • National Diploma/Professional Qualification in Computer Science/Information Systems.
2. BSc Applied Statistics Honours Degree (4 years)
   • Passes at ‘A’ level in Mathematics, and any Sciences or Commercials.
3. BSc Computer Science Honours Degree (4 years)
   • Passes at ‘A’ Level in Mathematics, Physics, and any other Sciences.

FACULTY OF AGRIBUSINESS AND COMMERCE

1. BCom Tourism and Hospitality Management Honours Degree (4 years)
   • Any 2 ‘A’ levels with commercials being an added advantage.
   • National Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality Management/Tourism Management/Marketing Management, Retail Management, Institute of Administration and Commerce (IAC).
2. BSc Agricultural Economics and Development Honours Degree (4 years)
   • Any 2 ‘A’ levels in Commercials/Sciences with Agriculture being an added advantage.
   • Diploma/Higher National Diploma in Agriculture including ‘O’ Level Mathematics.
3. BCom Accounting Honours Degree (4 years)
   • Passes at ‘A’ level in Accounting and any of the following ‘A’ level subjects: Mathematics, Economics, Management of Business, Computing (Computer Science).
   • ‘O’ Level Mathematics.
4. BCom Business Management Honours Degree (4 years)
   • Passes at ‘A’ level in Management of Business and any subjects in Commercials, Sciences, or Arts including ‘O’ Level Mathematics.
5. BSc Forest Resources Management and Applied Restoration Honours Degree (4 years)
   • Passes at “A” level in Biology and any one of the following subjects: Mathematics, Agricultural Science, Physics, Chemistry, or Geography.

FACULTY OF APPLIED SOCIAL SCIENCES

1. BSc Human Resource Management Honours Degree (4 years)
   • Passes at ‘A’ level in Management of Business, plus any Humanities/Arts.
2. BSc Psychology Honours Degree (4 years)
   • Humanities/Arts + ‘O’ Level Biology & Mathematics.

MANICALAND STATE UNIVERSITY (GSU) BLOCK RELEASE PROGRAMMES ADMISSION REQUIREMENT

FACULTY OF ENGINEERING (BEng Hon Degree)

1. Chemical and Processing Engineering Honours Degree (4 years)
   • At least 5 ‘O’ level passes including Mathematics and English Language.
   • Passed at ‘A’ level Chemistry and Mathematics.
   • At least two years working experience in the relevant field (proof of employment required).
   • OR: A National Diploma (ND2) in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Metallurgy, or equivalent qualifications.
2. Mining and Mineral Processing Engineering Honours Degree (4 years)
   • At least 5 ‘O’ level passes including Mathematics and English Language.
   • Passed at ‘A’ level Physics and Mathematics.
   • At least two years working experience in the relevant field (proof of employment required).
   • OR: A National Diploma (ND2) in Mining Engineering, Geology, Metallurgy, or any relevant qualification.

FACULTY OF APPLIED SCIENCES AND TECHNOLOGY (BSc Hons degree)

1. BSc Information Systems Honours Degree (3 years)
   • Applicants must have a relevant Diploma/ Professional Qualification in Information Systems/ Information Technology.
   • OR: A pass in ‘A’ level Commercials (Computing Studies, Mathematics, Accounting, Economics, Business Studies).
   • At least one year working experience in the relevant field (proof of employment required).

FACULTY OF AGRIBUSINESS AND COMMERCE

1. BCom Tourism and Hospitality Management Honours Degree (3 years)
   • Diploma in Tourism Management/ Tourism Operations Management, International Tourism, Tourism and Hospitality Management, Hospitality Management, Travel Agency Management, Culinary Studies/ Professional cookery/ Bakery studies, Business Studies, Purchasing, Education, Marketing Management, Retail Management, Institute of Administration and Commerce (IAC).
   • A National Diploma in Travel and Tourism or equivalent relevant qualification and a proof of employment in a tourism and or hospitality organisation.
   • At least one year working experience in the relevant field (proof of employment is required).
2. BSc Agricultural Economics and Development Honours Degree (3 years)
   • Diploma/Higher National Diploma in Agriculture or any other relevant tertiary qualification.
   • OR: Any 2 ‘A’ levels in Commercials/ Agriculture or Arts and any relevant subject and good passes in ‘O’ level Biology, Chemistry, Economics, Physical Science, and Mathematics.
   • At least one year working experience in the relevant field (proof of employment required).
