Tomorrow Trust Undergrad Bursary Eligibility

To ensure that the bursary reaches the most deserving candidates, there are certain eligibility criteria in place:

  • Age Limit: Applicants should be between 18 and 25 years old.
  • Nationality: Only South African citizens are eligible to apply.
  • Educational Background: This bursary is for those pursuing a full-time undergraduate or honours degree.
  • Institution Preference: Applicants must be enrolled or intend to enrol at WITS, UJ, Stellenbosch, UCT, Rhodes, or UP.
  • Academic History: Graduates who completed their undergraduate studies between January 2020 and December 2023 can apply.
  • Degree Limitation: Tomorrow Trust does not support Masters and Ph.D. students.

  1. Application Platform: All applications are to be completed online at the official Tomorrow Trust Bursary Application portal.
  2. Required Documents: Ensure you have the necessary documents ready.
    • A motivation letter describing your chosen field of study and your post-graduation plans
    • Certified copy of your ID.
    • Proof of household income, including documents for all members
    • Current matriculation students need to submit their Grade 11 end-year report and Grade 12 term-2 report.
    • For those already matriculated or in an undergraduate programme, provide the latest official transcript and matriculation certificate.
    • Applicants under 18 years of age require a guardian consent form.
  3. Avoid Common Mistakes: Ensure your application is complete and accurate. Any incomplete applications or those with misrepresentations will be disregarded.
  4. Application Confirmation: Upon submission, you’ll receive a confirmation email. If you don’t hear back within four months after the closing date, consider your application unsuccessful.
