The TUT Online Bus Registration for all TUT students are now open for both current and fresh students. CURRENT STUDENTS are students currently registered at TUT for the 2026 academic year. FRESHMEN refer to any student who have just been admitted into the university.
TSHWANE UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY, TUT ONLINE BUS REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS
- You must be a registered university student for the 2026 academic year at TUT.
- You must have cleared all outstanding fees and be financially compliant with the university.
- You must have all the necessary gadgets available to make the registration (e.g. internet, phone, laptop, etc).
- A valid student card is required as part of the registration process.
Please note: The online bus registration is accessible exclusively through the TUT Student Portal. You must log in with your official student credentials before you can access the bus registration module. No standalone public portal exists for this service.
TSHWANE UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY, TUT ONLINE BUS REGISTRATION GUIDELINES AND FORMS
The registration for Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) bus for 2026 is fully online.
Students are advised to follow the below process or steps to register:
- Log in to the TUT Student Portal using your student number and password.
- Navigate to the transport registration section from your portal dashboard.
- Wait for the system to confirm your profile, then click Continue.
- Read carefully the rules and regulations in relation to bus registration.
- Once you agree to the rules, click on the Next Step button at the bottom of the page.
- On the next page, the system will detect your campus.
- Click the drop-down arrow button to select yes or no for accredited accommodation.
- Click inside the checkbox to accept the rules, then SUBMIT your application.
- Upon submitting, you will be sent a successful pop-up message and email for application.
- Please wait for approval from the Transport Department.
- Once approved, proceed to CPS for issuing of a valid bus transport student card.
TUT Online Bus Registration Fee
- The annual transport fee for Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) bus service is R4,010 per annum (once-off payment). This fee is mandatory for all registered students using the transport service and must be paid before registration is finalized.
- Students who require financial assistance for transport costs could apply for a transport allowance. Applications for transport allowances were accepted until 30 May 2026. Contact the university’s finance department for information on future allowance cycles.
Important: The registration fee is not free. Do not rely on any information stating the bus registration is free. The confirmed annual fee is R4,010 as per the university’s official Finance Registration Information for 2026.

I am a freshmen and I’m inquiring about the tut bus services, do they offer transportation from Johannesburg to the university if you do not stay on the university campus. Please assist of any bus services I can use.
