This article contains information on How to get Lost/Replaced Certificates in 2024. This involves what you should do if you lose your ECZ Grade 7, 9, 12, GCE & TED certificates. It also contains the certificate recovery procedures as well as the requirements needed for this request to be granted by the Examination Council of Zambia (ECZ).
ECZ does not issue duplicate certificates. In case of loss/damage of result slips and/or certificates, a letter of verification of results is issued to serve the concerned candidate. These are issued on request by individuals, educational institutions, employers and government agencies that carry out investigations.
The Examinations Council of Zambia (ECZ) was established under the Examinations Council of Zambia Act of 1983, to set and conduct examinations and award certificates to successful candidates. It is therefore pleased to announce the e-Statement of Results that would make it accessible online to every candidate anywhere in the world.
HOW TO REPLACE YOUR LOST/DAMAGED CERTIFICATE (GRADE 7, 9, 12, GCE & TED) IN 15 WORKING DAYS
Certificates are vital documents and must be kept in a well secured place. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, one may lose a certificate through fire, theft or misplacement.
PROCEDURE:
- Get a Police Report and an Affidavit
- Submit at any ECZ Service Centre together with a copy of the lost certificate or a letter from the school confirming that you collected the certificate.
- Make applicable payment and wait for that call from ECZ

REPLACEMENT/PRINTING OF STATEMENTS OF RESULTS (SOR)
This is a service provided by the ECZ in an event that the candidate has lost his or her statement of results.
Requirements:
- Police Report
- A sworn in affidavit
- Either a photocopy of the Statement or a letter from the School confirming that the Candidate collected his/her statement

I have not collected my Advanced certificate in geology which I did at CBU. I only have a transcript . How do I collect my first certificate. I went to CBU but I was told to go to ECZ. Time has passed and I still have a certificate. Please advise
