In the tech industry, women hold only 26.7% of jobs as of 2022, and the representation is even lower in top-management positions. To address this imbalance and support ambitious women entering the tech industry, Bolt is excited to announce the return of its internship programme, The Bolt Outternship, in Kenya. This initiative is designed to help women kick-start their careers and contribute to a more equal and diverse tech future.

Bolt Outternship Eligibility
The Bolt Outternship is open to women with a background in computer science or marketing who are interested in expanding their tech experience. Both those with previous experience in tech companies and those looking to enter the tech industry for the first time are encouraged to apply.
Bolt Outternship Application Procedure
To apply for the Bolt Outternship:
- Visit the Bolt Outternship application page.
- Complete the application form, which includes a questionnaire, selection of your area of interest, and submission of your CV.
- If selected, you will be asked to submit a video of yourself responding to a case study in less than 2 minutes.
- Selected applicants will be invited for an interview.
- Offers will be sent to 5 successful candidates.
Application Dates
The application period starts on May 3 and lasts until June 2. The Bolt Outternship runs from July until September.
