This article contains information on steps and the method on how to check and apply for the HELB Clearance Certificate. The HELB Clearance Certificate is also called HELB Compliance certificate.
There are 2 categories of the Clearance certificate and they include:
Loanee Compliance Certificate
This Certificate is issued to the beneficiaries of HELB loan who are up to date with their loan repayment. It is also issued to the beneficiaries who are still within the repayment grace period. Once a beneficiary has completed repaying the loan, he/she is issued Certificate of Clearance. This service is not charged.
Non-Loanee Compliance Certificate
If you did not benefit from HELB loan, you can apply for the Non-loanee Compliance Certificate from the HELB Portal or e-Citizen Portal. This service is not charged.
HOW TO ACCESS THE HELB CERTIFICATE CHECKER AND GET THE CLEARANCE CERTIFICATE
The checker confirms validity of certificates issued by HELB to beneficiaries and non-beneficiaries.
A compliance certificate is issued to beneficiaries who are repaying their loans and to non-beneficiaries who need HELB clearance.
Clearance certificates can be obtained at the HELB offices upon completion of loan repayment.
To Check for your HELB Clearance Certificate,
- kindly visit the https://portal.helb.co.ke/auth/checker
- Select the Certificate Type and fill in your ID No. (Client’s ID No.) and Certificate Number.
To Apply for a HELB Clearance Certificate,
If you are up to date with your loan repayment or you have never benefited from HELB loan, you can apply for HELB Compliance Certificate from the HELB Portal or e-Citizen Portal.
To generate a compliance certificate, one is required to sign up at this portal by clicking on User Registration.
