The application for the Edinburgh Legal Education Trust Scholarships for the academic year 2023/2024 is now open by University of Edinburgh for all International Students in UK.
The University of Edinburgh hereby invites all outstanding students to apply for the 2023/2024 Scholarship. The University of Edinburgh has set-up a tertiary Scholarship to bolster capacity, expertise and work opportunities related to different sectors. It is intended for tertiary students at the PHD. The university will provide financial support for high achieving candidates. The scholarship amount of £17,688 per year will be awarded to the selected students for one year in the first instance but will be renewed annually for a further two years, subject to satisfactory progress. University of Edinburgh has allocated Scholarship specifically for the following fields below.

For the Edinburgh Legal Education Trust Scholarships, we are looking for students who will be meeting the admission requirements and other eligibility requirements of the hosting universities stated below.
EDINBURGH LEGAL EDUCATION TRUST SCHOLARSHIPS APPLICATION ELIGIBILITY
Eligible courses are:
- PhD studies at the Edinburgh Law School on legal doctrine rather than on, for example, legal theory or socio-legal issues can be undertaken.
Candidate Requirements
Eligible criteria are:
- UK national students and overseas students can both apply.
- The applicants must be accepted by the University of Edinburgh for postgraduate study.
- The applicants must hold honours or a master’s degree in law (or equivalent).
- The students must submit scores of the following English language proficiency tests:
- IELTS – 7.0
- TOEFL-iBT – 100
- CAE/CPE – 185
- Trinity ISE – SE III with a pass in all four components.
