We are pleased to announce that the application for the 2023 National Young Innovators Entrepreneurship Programme is now open.
Are you a young innovator in Kenya looking for an opportunity to enhance your entrepreneurial skills? The State Department for Labour and Skills Development, in collaboration with the Chandaria Business Innovation and Incubation Center at Kenyatta University, is excited to announce the second phase of the National Young Innovators Entrepreneurship Training Program. This program will be delivered virtually, allowing participants to learn from anywhere in the country.
Benefits of the Program
The National Young Innovators Entrepreneurship Training Program is designed to equip young innovators with the entrepreneurial skills necessary to transform their innovations into successful commercial ventures. Participants will not only gain valuable knowledge and skills but will also be provided with data bundles to facilitate their access to the program.
National Young Innovators Entrepreneurship Eligibility
To be eligible for this opportunity, you must:
- Be a Kenyan citizen
- Be aged between 18 and 35 years
- Be proficient in computer skills
- Have developed an innovation or invention
National Young Innovators Entrepreneurship Application Procedure
Interested candidates should submit the following documents in soft copy to the Programme Director, Chandaria Business Innovation and Incubation Center, Kenyatta University, via email at nyjep@ku.ac.ke:
- A brief outline (1 page) of the innovation or invention developed by the applicant
- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Copy of National Identity Card/Passport
Women and persons with disabilities who meet the specified requirements are strongly encouraged to apply and should indicate so in their applications.

The closing date for applications has been extended to 25th May 2023 to enable more young people to apply.
