The application for the Automatic Entrance Scholarships for the academic year 2022/2023 is now open by York University for all International Students in Canada.  

The York University hereby invites all outstanding students to apply for the 2022/2023 Scholarship. The York University has set-up a tertiary Scholarship to bolster capacity, expertise and work opportunities related to different sectors. It is intended for tertiary students at the Undergraduate degree. Scholarship values are as follows: 95% and higher = $4000; 90 – 94.9% = $2500; 85% – 89.9% = $1500; and 80% – 84.9% = $1000.  This scholarship is renewable for students admitted with a final average of 95%+ only. The final scholarship amount will be determined when final grades are received. York University has allocated Scholarship specifically for the following fields below.

For the PhD Scholarship, we are looking for students who will be meeting the admission requirements and other eligibility requirements of the hosting universities stated below.

AUTOMATIC ENTRANCE SCHOLARSHIPS APPLICATION ELIGIBILITY 

Eligible courses are: 

  • The sponsorship will be awarded in any Undergraduate subject offered by the university.

Candidate Requirements 

Eligible criteria are:

  • International students can apply for this scholarship.
  • International secondary school students who are applying to a direct-entry undergraduate program and are in the process of completing their secondary school diploma.
  • Students must be completing their studies at a Canadian secondary school offering (within or outside of Canada).
  • Identified scholars from select high schools around the world will be considered for these awards at the discretion of York.
  • Recipients must maintain a minimum 8.00 sessional grade point average and enrol in a minimum of 24 credits for their first Fall/Winter academic year to qualify for the second year renewal.
  • The renewal will be based on a minimum 8.00-grade point average on all credits completed in the previous summer and fall/winter sessions.
  • Recipients at 95%+ who are students with disabilities may renew this scholarship by maintaining a min 8.00 GPA over a minimum 40% course load (6 credits per term).
  • Students must self-identify and show proof of disability for the first time of renewal. A conditional scholarship offer will be made at the time of admission.
  • Recipients at 95%+, must maintain a minimum 8.00 sessional grade point average and enrol in a minimum of 24 credits each year taken during the entire academic year (previous summer and fall/winter sessions) to be eligible for renewal.
  • All credits completed during the applicable period will be used in the calculation of the GPA for renewal.
  • Recipients at 95%+ who are students with disabilities may renew this scholarship by maintaining a min 8.00 GPA over a minimum 40% course load (6 credits per term).
  • Students must self-identify and show proof of disability for the first time of renewal.
  • Applicants whose first language is not English are usually required to provide evidence of proficiency in English at the higher level required by the University.

CLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATIONS 

  • Completed applications need to be submitted on or before 1 April, 2023. Late applications will not be considered.
