The application for the National Entrepreneurship Inter-College Competition for the academic year 2022 is now open for all South African students in South Africa.
The National Entrepreneurship Inter-College 2022 competition hereby invites all outstanding students with business ideas or businesses to apply for the National Entrepreneurship Inter-College 2022 competition.
Allan Gray Makers is hosting its first National competition from July to October 2022 with the regional finals to be held in October 2022. The competition is funded by the Allan Gray Orbis Foundation Endowment and Future Managers and supported by the Department of Higher Education and Training, TVET Regional (EC).

NATIONAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP INTER-COLLEGE COMPETITION ELIGIBILITY
WHO CAN ENTER?
- The Entrepreneurship Inter College is open to all eligible students of the 50 Public TVET Colleges in South Africa registered in Ministerial Funded programmes. Students across all disciplines of qualifications may enter the competition.
Participants have to meet the following criteria to be eligible for participation:
ALL CATEGORIES
- Be enrolled as a Nated (Report 191) or National Certificate Vocational (NCV) student at any of the 50 TVET colleges for the 2024 academic year at the time of submitting an entry to the competition. Students can be enrolled full time or part time OR distance learning students
- The business entered into the I HAVE PAYING CUSTOMERS category must have generated an income or received some form of investment at the time of entering the competition.
- The business entered into the I HAVE A PRODUCT OR SERVICE category must be the owner of the product or service.
- Be the owner, founder or controlling shareholder of the business entered and be principally responsible for its operations. Each business can be represented by only one person throughout the competition.
HOW TO APPLY FOR NATIONAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP INTER-COLLEGE COMPETITION
- Step 1: Register your entry by completing and submitting the entry form online.
- Step 2: Entries are reviewed and shortlisted by the competition coordinators at each TVET College. Confirmed participants will be invited to pitch their ideas or businesses in the internal college round.
- Step 3:The winners of internal college rounds proceed to represent their institutions at regional rounds where they pitch to a panel of expert judges.
- Step 4:Winners of the regional rounds will be invited to pitch their idea or businesses at the National Finals.
- Step 5:Category winners and national TVET Studentpreneur of the year will be announced by Sept 2022.
