UNIVERSITY OF JOHANNESBURG, UJ ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL COURSES
Admission Requirements for Degree Programmes;
Undergraduate degree-seeking applicants are required to have achieved the equivalent of a South African National Senior Certificate with a degree endorsement. All international applicants with high school results or qualifications achieved outside of the Republic of South Africa require a certificate of exemption from the Matriculation Board of South Africa (USAf) for admission into undergraduate degree studies (see website: https://mb.usaf.ac.za/). In essence, the UJ entry requirements for degree programmes include:- Complete High School with excellent grades
- Achieve the required total Admission Point Score (APS) for the programme of choice
- Achieve the required rating or APS level of each Compulsory subjects in line with faculty requirements
- Qualify for the Matric Exemption issued by the Matriculation Board (USAF)
- Meet all other faculty requirements, i.e., portfolios and clinical placements.
Admission Requirements for Diploma and Certificate;
- Undergraduate diplomas and certificate-seeking applicants do not need Matric Exemption or an endorsement from the Matriculation Board (USAf).
- Complete High School with excellent grades
- Achieve the required total Admission Point Score (APS) for the programme of choice
- Achieve the required rating or APS level of each Compulsory subjects in line with faculty requirements
- Meet all other faculty requirements, i.e., portfolios and clinical placements.
