The application for the Agricultural Business Chamber Bursary for the academic year 2022/2023 is now open by Agricultural Business Chamber for all South Africans in South Africa.
The Agricultural Business Chamber hereby invites all outstanding students to apply for the 2022/2023 Bursary. It is meant for students that intend to, or are currently studying towards degree and diploma programmes that are aligned to the following listed below:

AGRICULTURAL BUSINESS CHAMBER BURSARY APPLICATION ELIGIBILITY
- Applicants must be citizens of the Republic of South Africa.
- Applicants should have registered or qualified for admission to a master’s or PhD degree in agricultural economics or agribusiness management related fields at a recognised South African university.
- Applicants should have completed a relevant undergraduate programme, or degree, or be in the final year studying towards an undergraduate qualification.
- Applicants should have received a minimum of 60% for major subjects.
- The applicant needs to submit a letter of recommendation from his/her academic supervisor, or the head of the department (strictly no longer than one page).
- The applicant should submit a personal motivation stating why he/she needs the bursary and what it will be used for (strictly no longer than one page).
- The applicant should ensure that his/her academic supervisor, or head of the department, provides biannual progress reports (in the second and last term of the year) to Liezl Esterhuizen of Agbiz (admin@agbiz.co.za) to enable Agbiz to evaluate the student’s progress. If Agbiz receives no progress reports and has no means of establishing progress, unsatisfactory progress will be assumed.
- If the student no longer continues the year of studying or in the event of the student showing unsatisfactory progress according to the academic supervisor, or the head of department and Agbiz’s assessment, Agbiz reserves the right to cancel the agreement and terminate payment of the bursary. In such an event, the student shall be obliged to reimburse the amount of the bursary already paid, as well as interest on the amount from the date of disbursement up to the time that the student repays the amount required. Such an amount must be paid to Agbiz within two months of the cancellation of the agreement.
- The student will be required to sign a formal agreement after the awarding of the bursary.
- The bursary may be awarded to a student who is already benefiting from another bursary, scholarship or sponsoring programme. Applicants benefiting from other programmes HAVE TO DECLARE it to Agbiz, in their application or no later than at the time of accepting the contract, and confirm that the requirements and conditions to the Agbiz bursary programme are prioritised. In the event of not declaring it, the student will immediately be disqualified.
HOW TO APPLY FOR AGRICULTURAL BUSINESS CHAMBER BURSARY
- Applications, complete with a completed application form and the required documentation, should reach Agbiz via email or mail by no later than 5 December 2021.
- Confirmation of receipt will be sent electronically to the applicant’s stated email address as soon as the application is received. It is the applicant’s responsibility to ensure the successful delivery of documentation.
- Incomplete applications may be rejected without notification.
- No late application will be considered.
- The selected student will be contacted by middle January 2022. If you have not heard anything regarding your application by that time, your application was unsuccessful.
- The decision by Agbiz regarding the awarding of the bursary is final.
CLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATIONS
- Completed applications need to be submitted on or before 5 December 2021. Late applications will not be considered.

i have find the bursary which was advertise in the newspaper on the 9th pf december 2021, but when i loo to the deadline it says was close on the 5th of december 2021 and i do not know how to apply for the past bursary.End i would like to hear from the authority.
