The application for the University of the Free State (UFS) Star of Stars Bursary for the academic year 2024-2025 is now open by the University of the Free State (UFS) for all South Africans in South Africa.
The University of the Free State (UFS) hereby invites all outstanding students to apply for the Star of the Stars Bursary. It is meant for students that intend to or are currently studying towards degree and diploma programmes that are aligned to the following listed below:

UFS STAR OF STARS BURSARY APPLICATION ELIGIBILITY
- You must currently be in Grade 12 and have applied to the University of the Free State (UFS) in 2022 to qualify.
- All achievers in Grade 12 may enter themselves. It is not a requirement that your school enter you in this competition.
- The principal’s signature and school stamp must be on the form and serve as certification that all the information on the entry form is correct.
HOW TO APPLY FOR UFS STAR OF STARS BURSARY
How to apply
- Only the attached entry form will be accepted.
- Only the relevant letters, certificates, or other documentary proof of provincial and national achievements—no curriculum vitae (CVs)—will be accepted.
- Attach certified copies of your final Grade 11, Grade 12 March, and Grade 12 June results to your entry form.
- No registered post will be accepted.

- Please note: Send the completed form before August 31 to: Star of Stars, Attention: Director, Student Recruitment Services, PO Box 339, Bloemfontein, 9300.
- The entry form can also be delivered by hand to:
- Student Recruitment Services, Wekkie Saayman Building, c/o Rector and Graduandi Avenue, UFS Campus, Bloemfontein.
- Incomplete entry forms (reports or signatures of the principal are omitted) will be disqualified.
- No late applications will be considered.
CLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATIONS
- Completed applications need to be submitted early, by August 31.
