The application for the Amazon Recruitment Bursary for the academic year 2024-2025 is now open by Amazon for all South Africans in South Africa.
Amazon hereby invites all outstanding students to apply for the Amazon Recruitment Bursary. It is meant for students that intend to or are currently studying towards degree and diploma programmes that are aligned to the following listed below:
- Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, and Information Technology.
- Year level: first or second year next year.
The Amazon Recruitment Bursary Programme assists by supporting financially deserving students with great academic potential to take their first steps in achieving their dreams and obtaining their undergraduate degree. The Amazon Recruitment Undergraduate Bursary Programme aims to fund academically deserving students who do not have the financial means to study full-time towards an undergraduate degree.

Who can apply?
Amazon is looking for talented and motivated prospective software development engineers who will be available to join their team of engineers upon graduation.
The Amazon invites current and prospective first-year students at South African universities in Computer Science and Information Technology degree programmes (including the relevant Engineering programmes).
Bursary details
The Amazon recruitment bursary will cover the costs (capped) of the following:
- tuition
- residence or private accommodation
- subsistence
- stationery and books
- a personal computer
- transport
Selection criteria
Degree programmes:
- Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, and Information Technology.
- Year level: first or second year next year.
Academic achievement:
- Current Grade 12 learners with Mathematics and Physical Science marks of 75% and above.
- Current first-year students who are consistently obtaining an average of 70% and above.
Career plans:
- Applicants must see themselves as future developers at one of the world’s leading companies in the field.
Obligations:
- Applicants must be willing to commit to working for Amazon for the number of years funded.
- Applicants must be willing to participate in vacation work and training opportunities at Amazon.
