The application for the Petra Diamonds SA Student Bursary for the academic year 2022/2023 is now open by Petra Diamonds SA for all South Africans in South Africa.
The Petra Diamonds SA hereby invites all outstanding students to apply for the 2022/2023 Bursary. It is meant for students that intend to, or are currently studying towards degree and diploma programmes that are aligned to the following listed below:
- Koffiefontein Diamond Mine: Mining Engineering or Geology or, Environmental and Engineering Geology (expected to specialize in Geotechnical Engineering),
- Koffiefontein Diamond Mine: Industrial Engineering,
- Cullinan Diamond Mine: Metallurgical Engineering, and
- Finsch Diamond Mine : Computer Science/Information Technology.

PETRA DIAMONDS SA STUDENT BURSARY APPLICATION ELIGIBILITY
Petra Diamonds SA is offering bursaries for current/potential students who have successfully completed Grade 12 and are currently studying full-time. The bursaries are offered in the following mining related disciplines:
- Koffiefontein Diamond Mine: Mining Engineering or Geology or, Environmental and Engineering Geology (expected to specialize in Geotechnical Engineering),
- Koffiefontein Diamond Mine: Industrial Engineering,
- Cullinan Diamond Mine: Metallurgical Engineering, and
- Finsch Diamond Mine : Computer Science/Information Technology.
Selection preference will be given to candidates that are from the Letsemeng Municipality (Koffiefontein), Tshwane Municipality (region 5- 7), Danielskuil/Lime acres, Kimberley and Kururman regions.
WHAT SHOULD APPLICANTS SUBMIT:
Applicants must submit the following documents to be considered:
- Valid South African ID
- Copy of the Matric certificate
- Academic record
- Registration acceptance letter of HET
- Proof of Address/Residence
SELECTION OF CANDIDATES WILL DEPEND ON:
- Marks of Student
- Student must currently be enrolled at a HET.
- Student must study towards a Diploma or Degree in the specified mining related discipline at the HET institution
- In making the final selection, consideration will be given to attaining the objectives of the Mining Charter and Employment Equity Act
