If you have a passion for growing things, you’ll be pleased to know that the Green Industry offers a variety of employment opportunities beyond just Horticulture. To support students pursuing a career in this field, the South African Nursery Association (SANA) is offering Horticulture Bursaries for the 2024 academic year.

To qualify for this bursary, applicants must have successfully completed all modules of their first academic year of study. Applications must be completed in full, adhering to all criteria as indicated below. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.

The closing date for the SANA Horticulture Bursary applications is 31 March 2022, and interviews will be held shortly thereafter. It’s important to note that the bursary will not cover any outstanding fees.

  • Have you been involved in the horticultural industry? If so, were you a volunteer or employed and what where the main lessons learnt through that experience?
  • Have you visited any nurseries? If so, where and what would you say was the most impressionable?
