The application for the South African National (SANZAF) Zakah Bursary for the academic year 2022/2023 is now open by South African National (SANZAF) Zakah for all South Africans in South Africa.
The South African National (SANZAF) Zakah hereby invites all outstanding students to apply for the 2022/2023 Bursary. It is meant for students that intend to, or are currently studying towards degree and diploma programmes that are aligned to the following listed below:

SOUTH AFRICAN NATIONAL (SANZAF) ZAKAH BURSARY APPLICATION ELIGIBILITY
- South African or foreign national with a study permit
- Must reside in the province of which you are applying
- Must have proven financial need
- Must be from a previously disadvantaged background
- Must meet the requirements of SANZAF
HOW TO APPLY FOR SOUTH AFRICAN NATIONAL (SANZAF) ZAKAH BURSARY
You will need the documents in PDF or IMAGE format before proceeding with the application process.
Please have the following saved as individual and separate documents for upload:
- – Proof of Income or a certified affidavit of unemployment (of self/spouse/parents/guardian)
- – Certified Identity Documents
- – Motivational Letter
- – Testimonial from school, university or Imaam/Religious leader
You will not be able to complete this application unless you have uploaded the required documents.
Please ensure that each of your document files do not exceed 2MB and it must be either in PDF or IMAGE
format.
Failure to submit the required documents may result in your application being rejected.
CLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATIONS
- Completed applications need to be submitted on or before 31 December 2021. Late applications will not be considered.
