CLINIX CAREER (VACANT) POSITIONS, ROLES, REQUIREMENTS, AND QUALIFICATIONS

1. Unit Manager-Theatre

Job Summary:

To take responsibility for efficiently leading all activities within the Unit, providing leadership and direction to all staff, and promoting quality patient care and patient experience through operational excellence while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and respect. Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • Curricula or Diploma in General Nursing
  • Current registration with the South African Nursing Council.
  • BLS qualification and updated ACLS, PALS, and ATLS
  • Further Business Management qualifications are advantageous
  • 3+ years’ experience at a managerial or supervisory level
  • Previous experience in a private hospital environment is advantageous.
  • Computer proficiency is advantageous.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Perform nursing duties in accordance with the South African Nursing Council (SANC), the Department of Health (DOH), and the National Core Standards.
  • Adhere to the principles and standards of patient advocacy according to the SANC Acts and Omissions, Company Code of Conduct, Patient Rights and Responsibility Charter, National Millennium Development Goals, and the responsibility of continuous professional development (CPD). Supervise, organise, lead, and control the quality of care work for self and team, adhering to therapeutic standards and goals.
  • Actively participate in internal and external auditing processes, for example, DOH, National Core Standards, SHERQ, SANC, and Risk Audits.
  • Promote effective and quality patient care through the application of relevant policies and procedures and the efficient management of day-to-day Unit activities.
  • Monitor the activities of nurses to ensure compliance with protocols, security, the safety of the patient environment, Group Nursing policies and procedures, and SANC requirements based on findings through regular unit rounds.
