NETCARE CAREER (VACANT) POSITIONS, ROLES, REQUIREMENTS, AND QUALIFICATIONS

1. Theatre Manager

Education

  •  A relevant nursing qualification (Diploma in General Nursing or B.C. Cur Degree) or equivalent NQF 7 qualification
  • A degree or diploma in the operating room is essential.
  • Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse
  • Compliance with the SANC code for a Registered Nurse and all applicable health care legislation
  • A diploma or certificate in Management or Nursing Administration would be an advantage

Work experience

  •  2 years’ experience in the relevant field or more years’ experience in a private hospital setting
  • Managerial experience in hospital environment is essential
  • Experience in clinical leadership
  • A minimum of 7 years experience in theatre or recovery room nursing is essential
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in a theatre managerial, deputy manager, or shift leader position with a proven track record would be advantageous

Knowledge

  • Capacity to implement and maintain standards of health practise required from all accredited bodies and appropriate health legislation
  • Sound financial knowledge and the ability to interpret
  • An intermediate level of Computer proficiency
