FREE STATE EDUCATION CAREER (VACANT) POSITIONS, ROLES, REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

1. Director: Elementary Education & Development

Requirements:

  • NQF Level 7 qualification (SAQA-recognized).
  • 5 years’ experience at a middle/senior managerial level.
  • Pre-entry certificate for Senior Management Services (SMS).

Recommendations:

  • Code B/EB driver’s licence.
  • Strong leadership, planning, and communication skills.

Duties:
Manage and coordinate ECD services in the province — oversee strategic planning, budgeting, monitoring, inter-sectoral collaboration, and capacity building.

2. Social Worker Policy Development: Grade 1 (Permanent)

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work.

Duties:
Develop, implement, and review social work policies; provide advocacy and research support; monitor legislative compliance.

Assistant Director: ECD Centres (Physical Resource Planning & Property Management)

Requirements:

Duties:
Administer ECD infrastructure grants, manage subordinates, compile reports, and ensure compliance with financial and project requirements.

4. Administrative Officer (Finance)

Requirements:

5. Administrative Officer (Technical) — 5 Posts

Requirements:

  • 3-year diploma in Building/Mechanical/Electrical, or

Duties:
Prepare plans and specifications, inspect project sites, manage costs, verify contractor invoices, and administer contracts.

6. Administration Clerk
