Anglo American Platinum Engineering Bursary Benefits
The Anglo American Platinum bursary programme offers a host of benefits that extend beyond financial support. Here’s what you can expect:
- Tuition Fees: The bursary covers your tuition fees, ensuring that financial constraints don’t hinder your educational journey.
- Accommodation Allowance: Whether you opt for private accommodation or a university residence, the bursary provides an allowance to cover these costs.
- Laptop Allowance: In today’s digital age, having a laptop is essential for your studies. The bursary includes a laptop allowance to ensure you have the tools you need to succeed.
- Personal Allowance: A personal allowance is provided to cover your day-to-day expenses.
- Textbook Allowance: Textbooks are a crucial part of your studies, and the bursary includes an allowance for this.
- Medical Aid: The company’s medical aid scheme is available to all bursary recipients. If you prefer to stay on your parent or guardian’s medical aid, proof of this must be provided.
Anglo American Platinum Engineering Bursary Eligibility
The bursary programme is open to students pursuing various fields of engineering, including Mechanical Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Ventilation. The specific eligibility criteria for each field are as follows:
- Current Grade 12 learners must submit their final Grade 11 results (Mathematics, Science, and English with a 60% pass rate), stamped by the school.
- 1st-year students: Grade 12 (Mathematics, Science, and English with a 60% pass rate). Applied and Accepted – 1st year Diploma / Degree Mechanical or Electrical (Heavy Current) Engineering, certified copy of Grade 12 certificate with Mathematics, Science, and English with a 60% pass rate and acceptance letter at a university.
- 2nd to 4th-year students: Must be currently completing the previous year and pass all modules and must have passed all subjects they are currently registered for at the tertiary institution.
- 3rd and 4th-year students: Must be currently completing the previous year and must have passed all subjects they are currently registered for at the tertiary institution.
- Grade 12 learners must submit their Grade 11 results, stamped by the school, and provisional acceptance at a tertiary institution.
- 1st-year students: Grade 12 (Mathematics or Technical Mathematics, Physical Science or Technical Science, and English with a 60% pass rate). Applied and Accepted – 1st year Civil Engineering (4-year degree – BSc, BEng, BET) – NQF7
- 2nd to 4th-year students: Must be currently completing the previous year and pass all modules and must have passed all subjects they are currently registered for at the tertiary institution.
- Grade 12 learners must submit their Grade 11 results, stamped by the school, and provisional acceptance at a tertiary institution.
- 1st-year students: Grade 12 (Mathematics or Technical Mathematics, Physical Science or Technical Science, and English with a 60% pass rate). Applied and Accepted – 1st year Industrial Engineering (4-year degree – BSc, BEng, BET)- NQF8
- 2nd to 4th-year students: Must be currently completing the previous year and pass all modules and must have passed all subjects they are currently registered for at the tertiary institution.
- Current Grade 12 learners must submit their final Grade 11 results (Mathematics, Science, and English with a 60% pass rate), stamped by the school.
- 1st-year students: Grade 12 (Mathematics, Science, and English with a 60% pass rate). Applied and Accepted – 1st year Diploma / Degree Electrical (Heavy Current) Engineering, certified copy of Grade 12 certificate with Mathematics, Science, and English with a 60% pass rate and acceptance letter at a university.
- 2nd to 4th-year students: Must be currently completing the previous year and pass all modules and must have passed all subjects they are currently registered for at the tertiary institution.
- 3rd and 4th-year students: Must be currently completing the previous year and must have passed all subjects they are currently registered for at the tertiary institution.
Anglo American Platinum Engineering Bursary Application Procedure
To apply for the Anglo American Platinum bursary programme, you’ll need to provide:
- A certified copy of your ID.
- Your final Grade 11 results, stamped by your school, or, if you have completed Grade 12, a certified copy of your Grade 12 certificate.
- Proof of residence.
- A CV with all the relevant information.
Please note that applications made without all supporting documents attached will not be considered.
