We are pleased to bring to you the Central Applications Clearing House (CACH) 2024 online application portal for as many aspirants who were unsuccessful with their applications to the university of their choice.
If you are in the category of candidates or aspirants who were unsuccessful with their university application after checking their application status, you are therefore advised to make use of the Central Applications Clearing House (CACH) online application platform that was created by the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET).
The 2024 Central Applications Clearing House will operate as a referral system for unsuccessful applicants. CACH will provide unsuccessful applicants with access to career development services and, where possible, an opportunity to access spaces still available within the Post-School Education and Training (PSET) system at universities, TVET colleges, or in SETA learnerships without having to travel to institutions to try and find a space. It also works to ensure that students do not become victims of bogus institutions.
HOW TO APPLY ON THE CACH ONLINE APPLICATION PORTAL
- Open your browser (Chrome, Opera, Internet Explorer etc) on your internet enabled device
- Kindly visit the CACH Online Application Portal through the link below.
- Click on ‘Learner Sign Up’
- When you are on the page, kindly fill in the following details:
- Grade 12 Exam Number
- ID Type
- ID Number
- First Name
- Middle Name
- Surname
- Cell Number
- Email Address
- Province in which you live
- Field of Study
- Program / Course
- Select your Preferred Communication Method
- Indication Yes/No if you are interested in a Learnership?
- Indication Yes/No if you Agree to Share
- Then click on ‘Send’
Alternatively, you can contact CACH via a standard SMS by sending/texting their full names (first name and surname) and ID number to 31629; sign up using USSD code *134*225# OR via email to cachmail@dhet.gov.za

Please note that CACH is not a late application service and therefore cannot be utilized as such. Any prospective student that signs up for CACH and who is not listed on any of the unsuccessful application lists supplied by PSET institutions to CACH will be directed to the Department of Education and Training’s Career Development Services for assistance.

Please help as I’m confused, I applied at Unisa and I’ve got the space right, now I received an sms saying ” we can not register you on Cach because we can not find you Nsc results for 2021 on the DBE if your details are …..or changed please inform cach. So I did matric in 2002 not 2021 how do I check if Cach has my information or how do I register
I applied and everything was successful but then after they sent me the sms that told me to log in my application there’s nothing new or anything talking about whether I’m taken or not its my information there… Or should I wait??

I have applied through the WhatsApp and received a message from CATCH that my CATCH application was unsuccessful due to the fact that you cannot trace my National Vocational Certificate (NCV) 2021 results.
Please assist me in this regard.
