CPUT Quality Assurance Techniques Short Course Application – 2027
This article contains information on the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) Admission Application Form for the Quality Assurance Techniques Short Course for the 2027 academic year.
This course is applicable to all industries including manufacturing and service delivery. Persons who have successfully completed the Preliminary Quality Control Course, or who have had prior practical experience in the field of product and service quality should attend the course. This includes quality managers, quality inspectors, quality control personnel, quality assurance personnel, laboratory technicians, supervisors and team leaders.
The course comprises formal online class lectures, practical case studies and presentations. Students must have data on a smart device (phone, tablet, or PC/Notebook Laptop with built-in webcam) to view videos and complete online Blackboard assessments and tasks.
Participants will continuously be assessed by means of tests and/or assignments. A Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) Certificate of Competence will be awarded to successful participants.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified SCHOOL LEAVERS, NON-SCHOOL LEAVERS, and SPECIAL CASES.

- Class Times: 08:00 – 13:00 every Saturday

Entry Requirements
- Quality Control Techniques Course, or
- The student must have worked in a Quality Department for at least 6 months, or
- A Grade 12 certificate.

Application Procedure
- Kindly apply online by visiting the CPUT Short Course Application Portal.
- This application form must be completed in full by all students applying for a short course at CPUT, and certified copies of all supporting documentation must be enclosed.
- Once the application form has been completed and the supporting documents are attached, it must be submitted to the course administrator responsible for the short course you will be attending.
- Consult the website to find out which course administrator to contact.
- Once your application has been accepted and processed, the course administrator will issue you with a student number.
Required Documents
The supporting documents listed below must be submitted with your application form. Ensure that certified copies are less than three months old. CPUT reserves the right to take legal action if documents are not authentic.
- A certified copy of the first page of your Identity Document/Card.
- Proof of your highest level of school education.
- International students must submit a valid study visa and proof of medical insurance for the duration of their studies.
Payment of Fees
- Short course fees of R6,800.00 are payable in full prior to commencement of the course.
- Access to Blackboard is granted after full payment, or payment by debit order over 3 months, or a company letterhead promise to pay emailed to the course administrator.
- Cash payments can be made at the Cashiers Office on campus. Provide your student number as reference when making payment.
- For EFT payments, proof of payment must be submitted to your course administrator.
- If your employer is a government department or parastatal, a letter committing to pay the course fee must be obtained, after which an invoice will be sent to the employer by the course administrator.
Learning Resources
Students must have data on a smart device (phone, tablet, or PC) to view videos and complete online assessments and tasks. Stationery required: hardcover book, calculator, pens, rulers, and highlighters.
