The Health Professions Council of South Africa has enabled the online Portal for all health practitioners practicing or are yet to practice in South Africa to register, get license and make renewals.
This online service portal is for any medical practitioners of the South African public with a valid South African identity document, foreign identity document, and a proof of being a medical practitioner or being a student aspiring to be one who would like to register their profile online and obtain their medical license.

HOW TO ACCESS THE HPCSA PRACTITIONERS PORTAL TO LOGIN OR REGISTER
For Existing Users
The following is a guide on how to log into the HPCSA Portal.
- Open your internet browser e.g. Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox, etc.
- Go to HPCSA Login Portal
- Enter your Password/User ID to log in
- Once logged in, scroll down the page to access your dashboard.
For New Users
The following is a guide on how to register and log into the HPCSA Portal.
- Open your internet browser e.g. Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox, etc.
- Go to HPCSA Login Portal
- Kindly click on the ‘Create and Account’ tab
- Kindly select your country of residence and fill in the required ID/Passport number. Then click continue.
- Fill in the required information and submit.
Forgotten your Password?
- To reset your password, submit your username or your email address. If we can find you in the database, an email will be sent to your email address, with instructions how to get access again.
Requirements for registration as Medical Practitioner in the category: Public Service – Community Service – SA Qualified practitioner who completed internship training in South Africa
- Duly completed original form 11 A duly completed
- Duly completed original form 10A (completion of 24 months’ internship training) correctness of rotations. No alteration to this document will be accepted;
- Duly completed and signed off logbook;
- A copy of ID document.
- Registration fee plus pro rata annual fee as published on the website.
