Metrobus EPWP General Workers Program Eligibility

To be considered for the EPWP General Workers Program, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Minimum Grade 10 (NCV level 4) education
• Age between 18 and 45
• South African citizen residing in the City of Johannesburg Municipality (recent proof of address required)
• Unemployed status

Preference will be given to designated groups, including M/F Indians, M/F whites, M/F coloured, M/F Africans, and PWD (Persons with Disabilities) from all races that qualify.

Metrobus EPWP General Workers Program Application Procedure

Interested applicants have two options to apply for the EPWP General Workers Program:

1. Online Application: Register on the Department of Labour Employment Services South Africa database by visiting the website at www.labour.gov.za. Select the ESSA (Employment Services South Africa) option, followed by the “Individual Registration for Employment” tab.
2. In-person Application: Complete the application process at any labour centre.
