CAO Application Calendar and Deadlines – 2022/2023

The University of KwaZulu-Natal is exploring virtual platforms to deliver online virtual learning for the benefit of all students regardless of their background or physical location.

Various options are available to deliver on online learning, however, we are looking for the best innovative e-learning solution that will take into consideration the demographics of our students, access and quality – any solution proposed should not be one size fits all approach. Ideas and examples of best practises from other countries are welcome as long as they can be modified to suit our South African context with all its diversity and challenges (rural students, lack of access to internet, wifi, etc).

  • Innovative ideas to deliver lectures online for all;
  • Accessible lectures for all students irrespective of their physical location;
  • How clinical work could be fulfilled;
  • How laboratory work and practicals, etc would work/be conducted; and
  • How assessments would be conducted to test the grasp of learning content
