STRUCTURE OF THE CENTRAL APPLICATION OFFICE (CAO) HANDBOOK
The following is a general overview of the structure of the UCT Handbook for the guidance of users. The contents are organised in a number of different sections (see below) each of which has a particular focus. The sections are interlinked by cross-references where relevant.

- Application Procedure: This section covers ways and how to apply, submit supporting documents, pay administrative fee and completing a ‘Change of Mind Request’.
- Programme Choice List: This section covers description of the programme choice list, career directions, and alternative Route Programmes.
- Communication: This section covers CAO’S Communication with you, institutions’ communication with you, and what to do the different Statuses mean.
- Helping You to Decide on Your Career: This section covers information on finding out what you are good at and deciding what to study. It also involves career personalities Quiz, Qualification types, etc.
