Clicks Group is looking to hire a dedicated and customer-focused Shop Assistant/Cashier for our branch in Mabopane Square, Gauteng. Position Summary

As a Shop Assistant/Cashier, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our customers have a positive shopping experience. Your key responsibility is to provide efficient service at the point of sale, handle cash safely, and maintain the store’s presentation according to the company’s visual merchandise standards.

Responsibilities

  • Efficiently carry out all operational activities at the point of sale.
  • Maintain high levels of accuracy while scanning items and collecting payments.
  • Handle cash safely and responsibly.
  • Actively promote Clicks’ clubcard and enroll new members to meet participation targets.
  • Inform customers of ongoing promotions to boost sales.
  • Deliver superior customer service by acting as a brand ambassador.
  • Maintain store presentation and carry out general housekeeping duties.
  • Support Clicks’ vision of being the customer’s first choice health and beauty retailer by embodying and promoting company values.
  • Stay updated on products, ranges, promotions, and events to provide accurate information to customers.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Experience: Ideally, you should have experience in a customer-facing role within a retail/FMCG store operations environment.
  • Education: A minimum requirement of a Grade 12 qualification is essential, ideally with Maths and English at 50% or higher.
