This article contains information on the IQ Academy application form and requirements for admission into certificate, professional & diploma programs for the 2022–2024 academic year. Applications are invited from suitably qualified SCHOOL LEAVERS, NON-SCHOOL LEAVERS, and SPECIAL CASES.
IQ ACADEMY ADMISSION GUIDELINES AND FORMS
Application to IQ Academy is basically online, depending on your preference. Kindly follow the following instructions stated below.
IQ Academy Online Application Procedure
- Complete the online registration and payment form through the link stated below. Once you have submitted proof of payment, you will receive your login details.
- Your application must be done online on your smartphone, tablet, or computer.
- You will then be contacted by iQ admission personnel, who will guide you through the remaining registration process
- Your application will be completed once all of the necessary fees have been paid.

UPLOAD SUPPORTING DOCUMENTATION
Everyone applying for a new qualification must submit the required documents (all first-time applicants and IQ Academy students starting a new qualification). The due date for uploading the required documents is the closing date for applications. No documents submitted after the closing date for applications will be accepted. IQ Academy does not provide scanners or electronic devices. Please ensure that your documents are scanned and uploaded to an electronic device before starting the application process.

If your application for admission to study through the IQ Academy is incomplete, you will have to re-apply during the next application period
IQ ACADEMY APPLICATION REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
All applicants starting a new qualification must upload all the required documents, which generally consist of the following:
- Birth Certificate or Identity Document (Proof of application for new ID or passport)
- The most recent Academic results
- Certificates/Qualifications
- Municipal billing documents or other account statements (not older than 3 months)
IQ ACADEMY ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
To access higher education studies, you will need a matriculation certificate. However, if you do not have a matriculation certificate, you may be accepted through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).
DIPLOMA ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
The minimum admission requirements for entry into Diploma (NQF 6) studies are:
- a National Senior Certificate (NSC) (matric) as certified by the Council for General and Further Education and Training (Umalusi),
- with an achievement rating of 3 (Moderate Achievement, 40–49%) or better in four recognised NSC 20-credit subjects,
- Or an equivalent qualification as evaluated by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA). In addition, to qualify for entry into diploma studies at IQ Academy:
- you must have at least a total admission point score (APS) of 16 for six recognised senior certificate 20-credit subjects and hold the relevant certificate as indicated in Table 2
- You must have a minimum APS of 2 for English Home Language or an APS of 3 for English First Additional Language, or equivalent as evaluated by

ADVANCED DIPLOMA ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
- An appropriate diploma in a related field: Completion of an appropriate 360-credit NQF 6 Diploma will meet the minimum entry requirement for admission to the Advanced Candidates who complete an appropriate 240-credit NQF 6 Diploma may enter the Advanced Diploma upon successful completion of a work-integrated learning component or a combination of work-integrated learning and coursework equivalent to 120 credits that are approved and accredited by an education provider and a Quality Council.

RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING (RPL)
IQ Academy acknowledges that all learning has value and therefore endeavours to recognise prior learning by allowing students entry into the programme in accordance with the college’s RPL policy. For instance, qualifications issued by an accredited institution at NQF level 4 or higher in a similar or relevant subject matter may be considered for RPL admission to the programme.
