Every year, the KWV publishes vacant positions for interested and qualified South African citizens to apply for. This year is no exception. Therefore, the jobs are listed below, together with their requirements, roles, salaries, and qualifications.

KWV CAREER (VACANT) POSITIONS, ROLES, REQUIREMENTS, AND QUALIFICATIONS

1. SALES REPRESENTATIVE SRM1509

Location: Paarl

Purpose: The incumbent is responsible for the receipt, store and issue of goods (i.e. bottled wine and spirits) and is required to check stock quantities, report stock deviations and damaged goods. Furthermore, he/she must keep the workplace facilities clean and tidy.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12 with 1 years’ experience in stock control and warehouse planning
  • Prior experience within the wine industry would be advantageous
  • Valid forklift licence would be an advantage

Skills Required:

  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills
  • Be able to work independently and in a team as well
  • Be task orientated and able to function under pressure
  • Physical lifting of stock is a requirement
  • Deliver customer service excellence
  • Dependable
  • Fast learner
  • Goal orientated
  • Good communicator

Job Summary:

  • Conduct a full monthly stock count and ensure the actual stock levels correspond with the record system
  • Ensure weekly spot checks on products.
  • Report stock deviations to Team Leader. Ensure speedy and full recovery of stock in order to decrease and minimize stock losses.
  • Monitor stock levels and inform Team Leader or Administration should stock be required.
  • Check product quantities upon receipt of goods to ensure accurate deliveries
  • Ensure that incorrect deliveries are reported timeously
  • Conduct quality checks upon issuing and loading of products by adhering to FIFO principles
  • Report Quality defects to the Team Leader
  • Keep the warehouses clean and tidy by adhering to Health & safety standards.
  • Accurate issuing of stock as per customer order.
