LILITHA COLLEGE OF NURSING ADMISSION GUIDELINES AND FORMS

1. Prepare a well-written application letter.
2. Gather and certify all required documents (Grade 12 certificate, Grade 11 results, study leave letter, ID, marriage certificate, CV).
3. Deposit R50.00 as an application fee to the following bank details and obtain a proof of deposit:

4. Submit the application package to the nearest campus:

Students should follow the below procedures when applying:

• Adverts are placed in the local newspapers (Daily Dispatch and Herald) in April/May period, as well as on the website of the department: www.impumelelo.ecprov.gov.za, to invite applications from suitable candidates for all programmes offered at the Lilitha College of Nursing.
• Before submitting the application and paying the application fee, please take note of the minimum admission requirements for all programmes of your choice.

NB: Application fees are non-refundable

• On your application form, please attach your identity document, necessary school reports and deposit slip which indicates that you have deposited the application fee for that specific programme.
• Closing dates will be indicated in the advertisement for that specific year.

A non-refundable application fee of R50.00 must be paid, with proof of deposit required.

If your application for admission to study through the Lilitha College of Nursing is incomplete, you will have to re-apply during the next application period.

LILITHA COLLEGE OF NURSING APPLICATION REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

All applicants starting a new qualification must upload all the required documents, which generally consists of the following:

• Applicants should have a well-written application letter along with a certified Grade 12 certificate with an aggregate D (from 750 and above) or equivalent, which meets the minimum requirements for admission to a diploma program.
• Certified Grade 11 mid-year results are required for current scholars.
• Necessary subjects include English (Level 4 or above, D symbol on old certificates) and Biology (Life Sciences) Level 4 and above, D symbol on old certificates.
• Other science subjects like Physical Science, Mathematics/Maths Lit, Geography, Agricultural Science, Computer Science, and Life Orientation will be an added advantage as the Admission Point System (with minimum points of 24) will be utilized to select candidates.
• Applicants who are current officers must provide a certified copy of study leave or a letter from a supervisor indicating that study leave is being processed.
• Additional documents required include a certified copy of the identity document, marriage certificate (if applicable), and a detailed curriculum vitae with contact numbers and a physical address indicating the catchment area.
• Applications must be sent to one main/sub-campus nearest to the applicant’s place of residence.
