LOVEDALE TVET COLLEGE ADMISSION REQUIREMENT

BUSINESS STUDIES ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
National Diploma: Public Management (N4 – N6), National N-Diploma: Financial Management (N4 – N6), National N-Diploma: Human Resources Management (N4 – N6) – Part-Time, National Diploma: Business Management (N4 -N6) & National N-Diploma: Management Assistant (N4 – N6)

The minimum requirement for this programme is a:

  • Grade 12/NSC or N3 Certificate
  • A minimum E symbol (Level 3) for English Second Language HG or a minimum D (Level 4) symbol for English Second Language SG is required
  • Accounting at Grade 12 level is recommended

NC(V): Management (L2 – L4), NC(V): Office Administration (L2 – L4), NC(V): Finance, Economics & Accounting (L2 – L4), NC(V): Information Technology & Computer Science (L2 – L4)
  • A year end school report for grade 10 or higher with Accounting
  • An NQF Level 1 qualification; or
  • An approved bridging programme designed for the specific purpose to access NQF level 2; or
  • A Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) assessment to meet the basic requirements for access to NQF Level 2.

Grade 11 and 12 learners who are at least 17 years of age are given first preference.

ENGINEERING ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
NC(V): Civil Engineering & Building Construction (L2 – L4), NC(V): Engineering & Related Design (L2 – L4), & NC(V): Electrical Infrastructure Construction (L2 – L4)
  • A year end school report for grade 10 or higher with Mathematics and Physical Science
  • An NQF Level 1 qualification; or
  • An approved bridging programme designed for the specific purpose to access NQF level 2; or
  • A Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) assessment to meet the basic requirements for access to NQF Level 2.

Grade 11 and 12 learners who are at least 17 years of age are given first preference.

Capentry & Roofing (N1 – N3), Electrical (N1 – N3), Plumbing (N1 – N3), Masonry / Blicklaying (N1 – N3), Water & Sanitation (N1 – N3), Motor Body Repair (N1 – N3), Motor Mechanic (N1 – N3), & Welding (N1 – N3)

The minimum requirement for these programmes is a:

  • Grade 10 with Maths and Science
AGRICULTURE AND ARTS ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
National N-Diploma: Art & Design (N4 – N6), National N-Diploma: Farming Management (N4 – N6)

The minimum requirement for this programme is a:

  • Grade 12/NSC or N3 Certificate
  • A minimum Level 3 (E symbol) for English Second Language HG or a minimum Level 4 (D symbol) for English Second Language SG is required
  • Accounting at Grade 12 level is recommended

NC(V): Primary Agriculture (L2 – L4)
  • A year end school report for grade 10 or higher with Agricultural Science ORPhysical Science ORLife Science
  • An NQF Level 1 qualification; or
