Lindsay Saker, based in Kempton Park, is offering eligible candidates an opportunity to enroll in their Accredited Competency-Based Modular Training (CBMT) apprenticeship program.

The Lindsay Saker VW Kempton Park – Service Department is currently accepting applications for Apprentice Motor Mechanic Training Level 1 (MOT230707-10). Through this program, apprentices receive a combination of on-the-job training and related classroom instruction, all under the careful supervision of a qualified motor vehicle mechanic. The theoretical, classroom-based education is provided by the renowned Imperial Technical Training Academy (ITTA), located at Ext 4, 16 Dakota Cres, Airport Park, Johannesburg, 1401.

Eligibility

To be considered for the program, the applicant must meet the following qualifications:

• Matric (N2) with Mathematics, Engineering Science, and English (achieving a minimum of 50% in each).
• Possession of a valid driver’s license.
• Demonstrated computer literacy.

Additionally, the applicant will need to:

• Pass a mechanical insight test.
• Undergo standard background checks.
• Complete a medical assessment to establish fitness for work.
• Be successful in a psychometric assessment and a face-to-face interview.
