Their dedicated arm, the South African Radio Astronomy Observatory (SARAO), directs South Africa’s efforts in the renowned Square Kilometre Array Radio Telescope (SKA). SARAO’s reach extends from the celebrated MeerKAT telescope in Karoo to collaborative African projects like the African Very Long Baseline Interferometry (AVN) programme. As SARAO continues its journey into the vast expanse of the cosmos, an internship opportunity has surfaced for graduates in the domain of supply chain management (SCM) and procurement in Cape Town.
NRF SARAO SCM Internship Eligibility
Key Requirements:
Qualification:
- A minimum of NQF Level 6 in Supply Chain Management, Finance, or related fields.
Experience:
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Knowledge:
- Familiarity with Public Sector SCM and NT regulations.
- Acquaintance with the National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD).
- Background in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Purchasing Management, and Demand Management.
Additional Skills:
- Mastery over Microsoft Office Suite.
- Analytical mindset to discern problems and drive solutions.
- Stellar verbal and written communication aptitudes.
- Multitasking ability and time management skills.
- Rigorous attention to detail.
