The Petra Diamonds offer an Apprenticeship opportunity to unemployed learners to apply in the fields that are in line with the Corporation’s core business. The Corporation is therefore inviting applications for the Petra Diamonds Apprenticeship Programme that runs for a maximum period of 12 months in the following disciplines/fields of study.
The Petra Diamonds Apprenticeship Programme uses a fully integrated approach that combines theory with practical training and leads to a recognized qualification/certification. Petra Diamonds provides an Apprenticeship opportunity in the following areas listed below:
- PLATER WELDER
- FITTER
- ELECTRICIAN
- DIESEL MECHANIC
- CONTROL & INSTRUMENTATION MECHANICIAN
- RIGGER
This internship opportunity is situated at the following locations in South Africa:
- Gauteng
PETRA DIAMONDS APPRENTICESHIP ROLES, APPLICATION ELIGIBILITY AND REQUIREMENTS
- An N2 certificate including the four relevant subjects of Maths, Engineering Science, Trade Theory and a fourth subject as required by the trade; or
- Relevant Engineering NCV Certificate with seven subjects at NQF Level 3; or
- Technical Grade 12 with Maths, Science, Language and related trade theory subject
- Ability to communicate in English (written & verbal)
- Grade 12
- N3 / N4 / N5 / N6
- Documented proof of practical experience in Engineering, for at least 6 months
