SARB Art Scholarship Eligibility
To be eligible for the Full Art Scholarship, applicants:
- Must be a South African citizen.
- Must be younger than 35 years old.
- Must have achieved an average pass mark of 65 % in their current year of study.
- Must be in financial need, i.e., unable to afford to attend university without a scholarship.
- Must be registered for one of the following qualifications in the 2025 academic year:
- Final year of a four-year undergraduate degree in Fine Arts
- Honours degree in Fine Arts (following a three-year undergraduate degree in Fine Arts)
- Master’s degree in Fine Arts
- One-year Advanced Diploma in Fine Arts (following a three-year undergraduate diploma in Fine Arts)
Application Procedure
To apply for this scholarship, kindly follow the steps below:
- Visit the South African Reserve Bank careers portal.
- Complete the online application form.
- Submit the following documents in PDF format:
- Images of 6 to 8 artworks produced in 2022 and 2023.
- Academic transcripts for 2022 and 2023.
- Copy of your South African identity document.
- An essay of 250 words to motivate your application.
- Proof of acceptance at a recognized tertiary institution.
- Use the promotional code: SARB ART 24 when submitting your application.
