What You’ll Do

Our training program will equip you to:

  • Establish and maintain sound business relationships with retailers.
  • Ensure compliance with Build it and SPAR regulations regarding store image and standards.
  • Facilitate communication between retailers and the Build it Regional Office.
  • Compile business plans, cash flow forecasts, and feasibilities to support retail growth.
  • Assist with store openings, re-launches, and audits.
  • Provide assistance and guidance to retailers with Build it Group projects.
  • Analyze and interpret store performance indicators, advising retailers on areas of improvement.
  • Efficiently manage administrative tasks, including scheduling, reporting, e-filing, and record keeping.
  • Provide general office administrative support, including inventory control and operational and financial reporting.
  • Liaise with the management team, business partners, and key role players.
  • Organize events, meetings, venue bookings, and travel arrangements.
  • Carry out ad hoc duties as requested by management.

Eligibility

  • Applicants must hold a Matric (Grade 12) certificate and a valid RSA driver’s license and passport.
  • A tertiary qualification in business management or a related field is required.
  • Five years of store management experience in the building material retail sector or related FMCG will be advantageous.
  • Applicants should have a sound understanding of retail management accounting and administrative principles, as well as retail management operating systems.
  • Excellent business acumen, operational financial skills, and advanced computer skills, especially with MS Office applications, are required.
  • Applicants should have excellent interpersonal skills, a composed character, and the ability to communicate professionally at an executive level.
  • The ideal candidate should be energetic, a self-starter, organized, able to prioritize tasks, innovative, detail-oriented, and should possess exceptional customer service skills.
