UP Veterinary Nurse Internship Eligibility
Minimum Requirements:
- Hold a BVetNurse qualification.
- Registered veterinary nurse with the South African Veterinary Council.
Required Competencies:
- Proficient knowledge of small animal nursing procedures, including handling and biosecurity measures
- Familiarity with ICU, basic diagnostic imaging, and theatre equipment
- A meticulous, professional, and responsible individual.
- Effective communication skills are suited for diverse interactions with clients, sales representatives, practitioners, and students.
- Organisational prowess coupled with a robust service orientation
- Physically agile and mobile.
- Ability to thrive under pressure.
- Computer literate.
- Readiness to work during weekends and outside standard working hours, ensuring uninterrupted service in the hospital.
- Openness to undertake shift duties.
Added Advantages:
- Registration with the Veterinary Nursing Association of South Africa is a notable plus.
