To use the Varsity College, VC online application feature, you must have a working internet device, a valid email address which is not shared with another Varsity College, VC applicant, your South African identity number, or, if you are an international applicant, your passport number. Kindly follow the easy steps below to apply online for Varsity College, VC (Varsity College, VC Online Application) admission:
STEP 1: Apply Online
- Please apply online via the Varsity College VC Application Portal if you are enrolling in undergraduate or postgraduate studies.
- Click on the appropriate button indicated below to submit an application for full-time contact studies, part-time contact studies, distance studies, and postgraduate studies. Please note that the instructions that follow are the same, irrespective of your choice.
- You will be directed to the relevant Application Home Page; select 1 of the 3 options listed below to proceed.
- If you previously submitted an application but did not make payment, please select “Have you previously submitted an application without payment?”.
- If you previously submitted an enquiry and would now like to apply, please select “Have you previously enquired with us?”.
- If you have not previously inquired with us or submitted an application, please select “Would you like to submit a new application ?”.
- If you have not previously inquired with us or submitted an application, please select “Would you like to submit a new application?”. You will be redirected to the application form, where you can capture your information.
- Once you have been redirected to this page, please enter your qualification details and student details. All fields marked with an asterisk (*) are mandatory and will need to be completed in order to proceed. Please note that if you do not have an email address, please click on the hyperlink to create your Google account.
- Enter your education details and click on Next to proceed.
- You will be directed to Document Upload. Here, you are required to upload your documentation. To submit the application, you must upload your SA National ID or passport. Further, if you are able to provide us with your latest eligibility documentation, this will assist the admissions process. The document requirements differ for South African and international students, as well as the different qualification types. Please select a document type from the drop-down list, click on Browse to attach your file, and click on Upload Document. Documents can take a while to upload; please be patient and try to keep document size to a minimum. Once you have uploaded your documents, click on Next to proceed.
- Select the tick box to accept the terms and conditions.
- If you would like to make an online payment, click on either Pay Now or Pay Later.
- By selecting the Pay Now option, you will be directed to the PAYU payment gateway, where the application fee can be paid. The application fee will automatically populate in the basket and you will have the option to pay by Card or Ozow.
- Once the application fee has been paid, you will be sent an email and SMS. This communication will also include login details for your Application portal, where you can monitor the progress of your admission.
- When you are done, kindly click on the ‘Submit‘ button to get your application submitted.
STEP 2: Acknowledgement of Application
- You will receive an email confirming online submission of your application immediately.
- Within three working days, you should receive formal acknowledgment of your application along with your student number and log-in details.
- Note: this acknowledgement does not mean you’ve been accepted or admitted to Varsity College, VC.
STEP 3: Upload Supporting Documents
In order to consider your application, please upload every necessary supporting documents listed below on this article. If the application is incomplete, it may be declined by the University.
STEP 4: Acceptance of Offer
When we update your application, you will receive an email notification. Please monitor your email account closely for updates. You can also check your status online with the log-in credentials that we will send you after you apply. We are not permitted to disclose your application status telephonically.

- 2 Academic Reference forms bearing stamp of previous school.
- Certified copy of passport, ID or any form of identification showing biographical data & expiry date
- Verified and certified copies of Educational certificates and transcripts, excluding PSLE and JC Certificates.
- Evaluation or Conversion certificate from Examination Council of Lesotho (Ecol) for Matriculates. Foreign internationals who sat for GCSE, e.g. LGCSE, IGCSE or equivalent, do not need to be evaluated.
- A passport-size photo
