We are pleased to announce that the application for the 2023 City of Johannesburg (COJ) Student Internship Programme is now open.

Attention all Johannesburg students! The City of Johannesburg presents a remarkable internship opportunity for those looking to get hands-on exposure and experiential training in the Environmental and Infrastructure Service Department (EISD). Committed to offering valuable work-based training, the city is addressing the growing demand from tertiary institutions for practical experience. This programme is available to qualifying students who have not previously participated in an internship programme. The internship lasts no longer than 18 months.

Eligibility

The following are the requirements for the Internship programme:

• You must be a resident of Johannesburg.
• You should either be enrolled as a student or have completed a qualification with a minimum of 360 credits.
• Grade 12/NQF level 4 plus Diploma in Administration or an equivalent registered at SAQA level 5 or 6.
• You must possess computer literacy – proficient in MS Office Applications and email.
• You must never have participated in an internship programme before.
• An enthusiasm to learn, a strong work ethic, and an ability to work well in a team.
