Land Bank Insurance Actuarial Learnership Eligibility
Who Should Apply?
- Young graduates (ages 18-35) who hold a qualification in the actuarial field.
- Those who possess a minimum of a 3-year Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science.
- Candidates should express a keen interest in furthering their qualifications to become an actuary with the Actuarial Society of South Africa (“ASSA”) or an equivalent professional actuarial body.
- Applicants must have a minimum of two actuarial exam exemptions.
- Preference is given to those who are student members of the Actuarial Society of South Africa and intend to participate in actuarial exams during the learnership.
- South African citizens who have no prior work experience after completing their studies.

- Purpose of the Programme: This is a 24-month initiative designed to provide fresh graduates with real-world exposure in their specialized area of study. Beyond work exposure, graduates will have training opportunities and mentorship to help them develop skills, gain knowledge, and gain vital work experience.
- Responsibilities: Successful applicants will be entrusted with the following tasks:
- Professionally completing all duties assigned by their mentors.
- Focusing on personal skills development in their specialty area.
- Undertaking any administrative duties allocated.
- Joining the Actuarial Society of South Africa and engaging in their Work-Based Learning Skills programme.
- Writing actuarial exams and taking part in the company’s actuarial study assistance policy.
- Handling tasks like report writing, research, memo drafting, and creating presentations.
